ESPN NH Annouces New Drive-Time Show


‘The Stretch Run’ features Pete Sheppard and Jimmy Murphy

Nashua, NH – ESPN New Hampshire Radio is proud to announce their new afternoon show “The Stretch Run” hosted by longtime Boston radio personality Pete Sheppard and veteran sports reporter and radio analyst Jimmy Murphy.

“The Stretch Run” can be heard Monday-Friday 3-6 PM ET on the radio (900 and 1250 AM), online at, or via the TuneIn app.

Sheppard, who came to ESPN NH in January, 2015, is best known for being a part of ‘The Big Show’ which aired on Boston’s WEEI for over a decade. He has lived most of his life in Massachusetts and is a graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School in Rhode Island and the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, where he is on the Wall of Fame.

“I couldn’t be more excited about working with Murph,” Sheppard said. “This is going to be big.”

Murphy, who grew up in Arlington, MA, covered the Bruins as a beat reporter from 2001-2013, working for the Boston Metro,, and In 2013, he headed north to the hockey hotbed of Montreal, Quebec to cover the NHL as a freelancer for, and CTV Montreal. Murphy also hosted a daily show called Top Shelf on Sirius/XM NHL Network.

“I can’t begin to explain how thrilled I am to be back on the air on a daily basis and doing what I love!” Murphy said. “I also am honored and looking forward to doing so with a local sports radio legend in Pete Sheppard. I hope our listeners are ready because we’re going to make their ride home a lot more enjoyable and I encourage them to join in on the fun!”
