After all the hoopla and trade rumors leading right up until the Celtics first selection in the 2016 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics used all of their first round picks.

At number three overall, the Celtics selected Jaylen Brown out of  California.

The pick should come as no surprise to Celtics fans, Brown seemingly had the inside track at being selected third overall for quit some time. He came to Boston for a telling second workout (Boston brought Marcus Smart in for a second workout before selecting him with the six overall pick in 2014). The 6-foot-7-inch forward averaged 14.6 points per game for Cal in his freshman season. He shot just 29.4% from three so he will not be helping the C’s from beyond the arch any time soon.

He will, however, have his fair share of thunderous dunks.

The Celtics drafted Brown because of his tenacity. Similar to Marcus Smart, Avery Bradley and Terry Rozier, Brown could grow to be a defensive bulldog and is a tremendous athlete. He will need to work on his shot to create offense, but there is potential.

The Celtics next two first round picks appear to be draft-and-stashes starting with 16 when Boston went off the board and selected Guerschon Yabusele out of France.

Surprised by this pick? So was Yabusele, who realistically was supposed to be an early second round pick.

Yabusele is a big guy at 240lbs, but isn’t the tallest forward at 6-foot-8-inches. He reportedly plays well around the rim on offense, but the same cannot be said on the defensive end where no effort is given.

With their final first round pick, the Celtics selected Center Ante Zizic out of Croatia.

Zizic is seemingly another draft-and-stash player so you may not see him in Boston anytime soon. He has a solid frame at 6-foot-11-inches and 250lbs, but is a project and may only be a bench player if he hits his ceiling. Averaging 14.8 points and 8.9 rebounds, Zizic can play, but it may not see it for a while.

This is seemingly the sentiment throughout Celtics Nation tonight …
