Bruins Send Adam McQuaid to I.R. Recall Pastrnak From Providence

Don Sweeney and the Bruins announced Thursday, January 7th, that the team has placed Defensemen Adam McQuaid on I.R. and has recalled David Pastrnak from Providence.

McQuaid will go on I.R. with an upper body injury sustained Tuesday night against the Washington Capitals.

Zach Still has been suspended two games by the NHL Players Safety department for his hit on McQuaid.

Pastrnak hasn’t since NHL icetime since Oct. 31st against the Tampa Bay Lightning. A game in which he only saw 7:41 TOI. Pastrnak has played in 10 game for the Bruins this season before injuring his foot, tallying two goals and two assists.

The Bruins organization loaned Pastrnak to the Czech Republic World Juniors team, where he scored the game winning goal against Slovakia on December 28th. Pastrnak had a +/- of +1 in the tournament, skating in 4 games, scoring one goal and three assists.

Pastrnak has been in Providence the previous two games, adding one point.

Pastrnak will join the team on Thrusday for their 11 a.m. practice and will look to jump in the lineup for Friday’s contest against the Devils.
