2016 Apple Therapy Student Athlete of the Year Banquet
to be held on Wednesday, May 25th
Apple Therapy, in conjunction with ESPN New Hampshire Radio, the Bedford Ambulatory Surgical Centers (BASC), and The Safe Sports Network, will honor the state’s top high school student athletes. A senior male and a senior female will each be named the 2016 Apple Therapy Student Athlete of the Year, and receive a $2,500 scholarship.
Nashua, NH – On Wednesday, May 25th, the top student athletes from across New Hampshire will be honored at the Derryfield Restaurant in Manchester at the 2016 Apple Therapy Student Athlete of the Year Banquet. Two high school seniors, one male and one female, will be awarded a $2,500 scholarship and named the 2016 Apple Therapy Student Athlete of the Year.
The banquet will feature Keynote Speaker Richard Seeley, the head coach of the Manchester Monarchs. Other awards will also be presented, including the 2016 Safe Sports Network Perseverance Award, and ESPN New Hampshire’s Friday Night Lights awards.
“Everyone is really enthusiastic,” said ESPN NH’s Nick Anastos, who will host the event. “To have New Hampshire’s best and brightest in the same room is going to be fantastic.”
Apple Therapy, ESPN NH, and BASC selected the nominees over the course of the school year, naming a Student Athlete of the Month every 30 days.
They include: Marie LaPlante (Bishop Guertin), Casey Gervias (Goffstown), Taylor Sullivan (Pinkerton Academy), Doug Maroun (Salem), Cam Dickson (Londonderry), Jenny Holloran (Nashua South), Max Urda (Milford), Lexi Lewis (Windham), Travers Brito (Nashua North), Dena Nosieux (Merrimack), Uri-Juan Hall and Samantha Edwards (Manchester Memorial), Alex Abad (Bedford), and Rhiannon Allison (Souhegan), Evan Macdonald (Manchester Central), and Polly Carter (Derryfield).
